BCM-95®: Made From the Finest Turmeric Grown with Organic and Sustainable Farming Practices
The best turmeric is grown in a frost free climate that gets plenty of rain - but in soil that drains rapidly.
You’ll find these conditions in northeast India - which is why this region is known for producing the finest turmeric plants. The turmeric for BCM-95® comes from this region, in Northeast India.
The local farmers are very careful about the organic farming techniques they use. You won’t find pesticides or harsh chemical fertilizers on the farms used to make BCM-95®.
Instead they strictly use natural fertilizers like animal manure and repurposed turmeric roots, rhizomes and leaves.
Most of the work, including harvesting, is done by hand. From start to finish, very little machinery is used.
Since turmeric is such an important crop to the region, the locals are careful to use eco-friendly and sustainable practices.
The makers of BCM-95® make sure the farmers are paid reasonable, competitive prices for their crops.
The challenge with curcumin for everyday use has been that once extracted from turmeric, it’s poorly absorbed in the bloodstream during digestion.
So you had to take very large doses to get desired benefits - this is both expensive and hard to do each day. This problem has been overcome with the introduction BCM-95®.
BCM-95® improves absorption using a patented process that combines curcumin with essential oils also found in turmeric.
The bottom line is when comparing absorption and sustainability in the bloodstream, just 400mg of BCM-95® is equivalent to 2,500mg of regular curcumin.
In addition to blood work, the enhanced absorption of BCM-95® was confirmed by analyzing stool samples. This showed that only 5%-10% of BCM-95® is excreted (the rest is absorbed) compared to 50% -60% of regular curcumin.
There are two types of curcumin: spice grade turmeric and extractable root turmeric. BCM-95® is made from the extractable root turmeric because while it requires a more delicate and expensive process to extract the curcumin and turmeric oil, the root contains up to 300% more curcumin than regular spice grade turmeric.
As a result, harsh and potentially unsafe solvents don’t need to be used to extract the curcumin from the turmeric - just ethanol and ethyl acetate.
Once extracted, the curcumin and turmeric oil are immediately tested to ensure there’s no lingering solvents (just pure, powerful curcumin and essential turmeric oil).
Other companies use the spice grade turmeric, because it’s cheaper, and then use harsh solvents like acetone - the stuff in nail polish remover and rubber cement - to try and squeeze out the curcumin. That’s not the case with of BCM-95®.

ApresFlex®: Comforting Joints with Legendary Boswellia Serrata
For thousands of years, a gum resin from the boswellia serrata tree has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for joint discomfort.
The boswellia tree is also known as frankincense - which was one of the gifts of the Magi or the Three Wise Men.
Modern science has harnessed the power of boswellia for use in a supplement with an ingredient from India called ApresFLEX® - which helps support joint health by promoting normal levels of the 5-LOX enzyme.
The chief compound in boswellia that helps keep 5-LOX in check is called “AKBA.” ApresFLEX® contains 20% AKBA.
In addition, using a patented process, the AKBA is combined with oils from boswellia to significantly increase the absorption of AKBA into the blood-stream.

Collagen (Types I, II, V, X)
The word collagen is derived from the Greek work “kola”, which means glue. This is an appropriate name because collagen is such an important component of the connective tissue in our bodies.
Collagen is simply a protein. The difference among collagen “Types” is the amino acid composition.
As we age, the amount of collagen produced by the body slows. Besides your joints, tendons and muscles, this also affects other parts of your body that depend on collagen to stay healthy - such as skin, nails, eyes, hair and bone.
To bolster the connective tissue in your body, it helps to replenish the collagen that’s lost through the normal aging process. Otherwise you’ll lose mobility, flexibility and range of motion.
TendoGuard™ provides ample amounts of Type I, Type II, Type V and Type X collagen - which are the most widely studied types of collagen.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
Hyaluronic acid is an important component of the fluid that lubricates your joints - which is called synovial fluid.
Synovial fluid acts as a cushion and shock absorber in your joints, so you can support weight without scraping bone on bone. Hyaluronic acid or “HA” is important because it provides needed viscosity to the synovial fluid.
Without enough HA, synovial fluid that is “too thin” can actually cause joint discomfort instead of protecting you from it. And over time this can lead to structural damage.
As you get older, HA starts to disappear - by as much as 75% - and you may hear more creaking or grinding. This joint irritation leads directly to more stiffness and discomfort.
