The Organic Brown Rice Protein Shown to Work as Well as Whey…
Men and women, younger and older are seeking more protein for a wide range of benefits including: staving off loss of muscle mass associated with aging, improving recovery from exercise or physical exertion, helping with weight management and curbing appetite.
Traditionally, the protein in most supplements has been whey protein, which is a dairy product. A key feature of whey protein is it’s considered a “complete” protein which means it contains all nine essential amino acids and the branched chain amino acids (BCAA) that help promte lean muscle formation, reduce muscle breakdown and support recovery from exercise.
The downside of whey protein is it tastes bad on its own - so to make it something you can consume, it’s usually combined with large amounts of sugar or artificial sweeteners and other chemicals. And if you’re allergic to dairy protein or otherwise choose not consume dairy products, whey protein is not an option.
TrueProtein™ addresses these concerns. It features Oryzatein®, a USDA Certified Organic whole grain brown rice protein. Oryzatein® has a bland taste - so we don’t have to resort to extreme measures and undesirable ingredients to make TrueProtein™ taste delicious.
As important, Oryzatein® contains a complete amino acid and a BCAA profile that is similar to whey protein. In fact, in a head-to-head clinical study, Oryzatein® was shown to promote muscle gains and strength as well as the same amount of whey protein.
Each batch of Oryzatein® is tested for arsenic (and other heavy metals) and the results show that the arsenic levels are either “not detectable” or less than 1 part per million (i.e. less than a microgram per gram). As such, excess arsenic intake is not a concern with Oryzatein®.
TrueProtein™ also includes a broad spectrum non-GMO enzyme blend that aids protein digestion and absorption, which helps reduce the potential for bloating or other digestive discomfort.
CocOganic™ organic coconut water extract and coconut oil extract naturally provide electrolytes and beneficial fatty acids, while providing creaminess and texture when the TrueProtein™ powder is added to water. If you don’t like the taste of coconut, don’t worry - you won’t taste the coconut ingredients in TrueProtein™.
TrueProtein™ also provides added fiber from LuraLean® glucomannan (konjac root).
And instead of using sugar or artificial sweeteners, TrueProtein™ contains organic stevia and monk fruit and uses non-GMO natural flavors.
TrueProtein™ is delicious when simply mixed with water, or can been combined with your favorite milk product or added to smoothies and shakes.
Oryzatein®: Premium Organic Whole Grain Protein Source
Oryzatein® is the only USDA certified organic, GRAS approved, low heat processed protein source from brown rice.
As important, Oryzatein® contains a complete amino acid profile including all nine essential amino acids and the branched chain amino acids (BCAA) that help support lean muscle.
Oryzatein is a product of Axiom Foods, the leader in brown rice ingredients with a focus on research, technology, quality control and sharing of knowledge.
Axiom Foods deliberately seeks out brown rice grown far from polluted areas. Over the last decade, they have developed relationships with growers who use pristine fields in many countries - such as Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Argentina, Myanmar, China and even at home in California.
Axiom is on a never-ending quest to ensure you get the purest (extremely low in heavy metals) and most nutritious brown rice available.
Protein is enzymatically extracted from multiple layers of the whole grain versus the more typical rice protein which is hexane-extracted from only the bran layer.
The process used to make Oryzatein® involves a proprietary low-heat process to avoid protein denaturation (which can alter the nutritional profile) and off flavors.
Each batch of Oryzatein® is tested for arsenic (and other heavy metals) and the results show that the arsenic levels are either “not detectable” or less than 1 part per million (i.e. less than a microgram per gram).
As a result, excess arsenic intake is not a concern with Oryzatein® (as it may be with some other rice products).
As important, any arsenic detected in Oryzatein® has been organic arsenic, which is the type naturally found in the earth’s crust. This type of arsenic is generally not considered to be a health risk. In fact, in a day, it’s estimated the typical person consumes up to 1,000mcg of organic arsenic from food.
On the other hand, inorganic arsenic, which is man-made, is the type of arsenic that may pose a health concern. In fact, California’s restrictive Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (commonly referred to as "Prop 65"), specifically lists only inorganic arsenic as a potential carcinogen (not the organic type).
In addition, to being USDA certified organic, Oryzatein® is hexane-free, non-GMO and Prop 65 compliant.
LuraLean®: Unique Fiber From Japan
LuraLean® is a soluble fiber also known as glucomannan. In addition to added fiber, LuraLean® provides texture to the TrueProtein™ drink.
LuraLean® is derived from the Amorphophallus Propol konjac root, a plant native only to Japan.
Although glucomannan ingredients are available from other ingredient suppliers, they are generally sourced from China, and not supported by any clinical research proving safety and efficacy.
LuraLean® is manufactured in Japan via a proprietary process that delivers a condensed, soluble fiber with a higher molecular weight and viscosity than other fibers.
During this proprietary manufacturing process, all impurities including enzymes such as mannanase are removed.
Mannanase remains in other glucomannan ingredients during conventional processing and when the material is exposed to high moisture and temperature, which can occur even during storage, it begins to break down. The breakdown process continues when the ingredient reaches the stomach, further limiting its efficacy.
Because all impurities are removed from LuraLean®, it has the unique ability to keep its viscosity while passing through the stomach and intestines, where other fibers fall apart.
More than 60 clinical trials have been conducted using LuraLean®, demonstrating safety and its ability to help:
CocOganic™: Organic Coconut Water Powder
Coconut water contains natural electrolytes, especially magnesium and potassium. It is considered an excellent source of potassium, a nutrient that plays a key role in maintaining muscle and nerve function.
CocOganic™ is believed to be the highest quality certified organic coconut water product available. It is naturally isotonic, containing similar concentrations of salts and sugar as does the human body.
The coconuts used to make CocOganic™ are organically grown in the Philippine islands by subsistence farmers using traditional sustainable farming practices. These include intercropping with compatible native species, and fertilization with palm fronds and natural sea salt.
Many of the trees are so healthy they are still producing at 60 to 80 years of age. Warmed by the sun and watered by almost daily tropical downpours, coconuts grow year round in the Philippines - which is the world’s largest coconut producer.
In order to support sustainable coconut growing, the makers of CocOganic™ partner with Philippine organic organizations that provide regular training for growers, supply organic coconut seedlings at cost, and offer record keeping and certification assistance and financial assistance.
When the coconuts reach optimum ripeness at 9 to 10 months of age, they are hand harvested using traditional harvesting tools and immediately processed.
CocOganic™ is freeze dried in modern, state of the art facilities to preserve coconut water’s natural nutrient and flavor profile - no fillers are added!
