Coccinia Indica May Help Lower Blood Sugar Levels.

A new study showed that a daily dose of the Indian herb, Coccinia indica, reduced blood sugar levels 18% after meals. This study was a double blind, placebo controlled study and published in the journal Diabetes Care.

The study included 60 participants with mild type-2 diabetes. Half were given one gram of Coccinia indica to take daily, while the others received a placebo.

After 90 days, those taking the Coccinia indica supplement reduced their fasting blood levels sugar 16% and postprandial blood sugar levels (after eating) by 18%.
