Make Sure Your Room Temperature Exceeds 65 Degrees
No doubt energy costs are steep these days, but trying to skimp on the heating bill can unknowingly lead to hypothermia. As you age, your body does not adjust to changes in temperature as quickly and you may be unaware that your body temperature is getting colder. Your body can start cooling even at a room temperature of 60 to 65 degrees. Hypothermia, a drop in body temperature to 95 degrees or less, can be fatal if not detected promptly and treated properly. Keep your room temperature above 65 degrees!
