If you’ve ever hard-boiled an egg and peeled away the shell, you may have noticed a thin film lining the inside of the shell.

That film is called the eggshell membrane.

And although most of us would never think to eat it, this membrane is actually a nutritional powerhouse that your joints — and even your skin — can really benefit from.

Type II collagen is the predominant collagen found in cartilage. When cartilage breaks down, fragments of this collagen can be released and later detected in urine.

A reduction in urinary CTX-II is considered a sign that cartilage breakdown is being reduced.

That means NEM® is not just about how your joints feel. It may also help support the structural integrity of healthy cartilage over time.
