Morosil®: Pure and Potent From Rich, Volcanic Soil
Morosil® is made by the Italian company Bionap S.R.L., a dynamic and innovative group which since 1997 has produced standardized extracts obtained from plants and fruits growing in the areas surrounding Mt. Etna, the main volcano in the Mediterranean area.
Bionap is headquartered not far from Mt. Edna in eastern Sicily. It is here that Bionap cultivates many of the fruits and plants used in its products – including the unique Moro oranges used to make Morosil®.
Not only is the soil in this region very rich, it is considered an optimal area to grow the Moro orange because large diurnal temperature fluctuations (hot days, cold nights) cause an intense red pigmentation in the orange flesh.
Thanks to the climatic condition of these regions, the Moro flesh ranges from orange-veined with ruby coloration, to vermilion, sometimes nearly to black. The juice obtained from these Moro oranges contains a potent combination of beneficial nutritional substances, such as flavanoids, hydroxycinnamic acids, ascorbic acid and anthocyanins.
Morosil® is a solid extract containing all the key substances of Moro orange juice: anthocyanins (cyanidin-3-O-glucoside), hydroxycinnamic acids (caffeic, cumaric, ferulic, sinapic acid), flavone glycosides (narirutin, hesperidin) and ascorbic acid.
These nutritional compounds are believed to be responsible for the weight management properties exhibited by Morosil®.
