Dear Friends,

A common challenge for men over 40 is bathroom trips tend to increase.

Among the key benefits of our TrueProstate product is that several of the ingredients have been shown to help reduce both daytime and nighttime urination frequency.

A question we’re often asked is: “How long does it take to work?”

Based on research with the ingredients in TrueProstate, some men notice benefits after the first and second months of use, but it typically takes up to 3 months to see a noticeable reduction in urinary frequency, with further improvements often seen between 3 and 6 months.

What sets TrueProstate apart from many other urinary health products is it contains 3 ingredients shown to work using what’s considered the “gold standard” for scientific research in this area, which is the International Prostate Symptom Score, or IPSS.

IPSS is an index that uses 7 separate measures to assess prostate and urinary health. These include daytime and nighttime urinary frequency, but also considers other factors like urgency, flow rate and bladder emptying.

These 3 ingredients are the Flowens® cranberry extract, the AGEprost™ botanical extract, and Phytopin®, a natural source of beta-sitosterol from French pine trees.

Here’s a summary of the findings with each of these powerful ingredients:

Flowens® Cranberry Extract

Cranberry is well known for helping with urinary tract health, particularly in women.

The makers of one of the best cranberry ingredients of urinary tract health, also discovered it can help reduce urinary frequency in both men and women, as well as help men with other aspects of prostate health as measured by the IPSS index.

This cranberry extract is branded as Flowens® and in a study published in the World Journal of Urology, 124 men with an average age of 53 years old experiencing moderate prostate symptoms took either 250mg of Flowens, 500mg of Flowens or a placebo daily for 6 months.

After 3 months of daily use, the benefits of Flowens become apparent and results further improved after 6 months.  The results were better for the higher dose 500mg Flowens group, which is what we use in TrueProstate.

On average, the 500mg group experienced a 31% improvement in IPSS scores after 3 months, and this increased to 44% after 6 months compared to the start of the study.  What’s more, there were significant improvements in all 7 categories of the IPSS score including urinary frequency.

Since results weren’t tracked after 1 or 2 months, it’s hard to pinpoint specifically when the benefits started – but patience was certainly rewarded in those taking Flowens®.

AGEprost™ (Ageratum conyzoides Extract)

AGEprost™ is an extract of a botanical from the tropics called Ageratum conyzoides (nicknamed “billygoat weed”) that has been used traditionally for many years to help prostate and urinary health.

It is believed to support prostate and urinary health by helping to reduce the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), but also may help muscles around the bladder relax.

A study with AGEprost™, which involved 106 men, aged 62 years old on average, found that after just 1 month, men started to experience a reduction in urinary frequency, with further improvements after 2 and 3 months of daily use (the study lasted 3 months).

On average, those taking AGEprost™ reduced the number of daily urinary frequencies from about 9.2 times to 7.2 times over 3 months.  Better yet, reductions were observed in both daytime and nighttime urinary frequency.

Since the participants were still experiencing improvements after 3 months of use, it’s possible that further improvements may be experienced with longer term use of AGEprost™, which we hope will be confirmed with further research.

And there were other benefits of AGEprost™ as measured by the IPSS score, which declined by about 31% over 3 months, on average.

Also important, no unwanted sexual side effects were reported with use of AGEprost™ (also true for the other ingredients in TrueProstate).

Phytopin® Beta-Sitosterol from French Pine Trees

Phytopin® is the source of beta sitosterol that was used in the published research studies which helped put beta sitosterol on the map for prostate and urinary frequency health.

Unlike other beta sitosterol ingredients, Phytopin is natural and from pine trees that grow in Southern France.

The first study was published in the prestigious Lancet journal and involved 200 men with an average age of 65, who took either 60mg of the Phytopin® beta sitosterol or a placebo daily for 6 months.

In this study men started to experience benefits after just one month, but IPSS scores declined much more after 3 months, with further improvement after 6 months.

The results tracked fairly closely to those in the Flowens® cranberry study. By the end, those taking the Phytopin® beta sitosterol improved their IPSS scores by about 49%, on average.

The second study increased the daily serving, from 60mg to 130mg (more than double), but the results were very similar to the first study. In this case, more was not any better with Phytopin®.

You can see from these research study summaries why at the outset I suggested that some men using TrueProstate may experience benefits after 1 month, but the benefits are typically much more magnified after 3 months, and more so after 6 months.

With the Flowens®, AGEprost™, and Phytopin® in TrueProstate, we’ve combined some of the most powerful natural nutrients for prostate and urinary health. Plus, each has been shown to work without unwanted side effects.

Additionally, TrueProstate includes four other ingredients that help protect prostate tissue from oxidative stress, supporting overall prostate and urinary health.

If you’re using TrueProstate, we advise being patient and give it time to work!

Yours for Good Health,
