Staying Focused - My Biggest Daily Challenge

Dear Friends,

One of my biggest daily challenges is trying to stay focused.

It’s not just a consequence of getting older – living in a modern-day world where we are surrounded by endless interruptions and distractions, makes it difficult for all age groups.

As a result, our attention span is much shorter.

Research by professors at the University of California, Irvine framed this perfectly.

They found that people typically only spend about 10 minutes on any work project before being interrupted.

When I started my career, there were only 2 ways you could be interrupted, you’d get a phone call, or someone would come to your desk.

That can still happen, but now we also have email, texts, alerts and different messaging applications on computers and cell phones – all of which results in more interruptions.

Here’s what makes it worse – people typically don’t go right back to the project they were working on.

The researchers found it takes people about 25 minutes to return to the original work project, as it’s harder to refocus – especially with the internet at our fingertips.

I’ll give myself 2 hours to complete a project, and after 90 minutes and host of interruptions, I realize I’m only around 15% of the way done with just 30 minutes to go.

Then an alert pops up on my screen reminding me of a meeting, and I know I have another meeting after that – and you start to get stressed about how you’re going to finish your work by the time it’s needed, which is both frustrating and energy draining.

I know I’m not alone, and this is a challenge for many others – which is why we created the TrueMind formulation.

Calming Energy

Something I think you’ll love about TrueMind is it helps you stay calm, relaxed, and remain focused despite all the distractions and chaos happening around you.

This can help you think clearer and get more done with greater accuracy and fewer mistakes - and with less of an energy drain, so you don’t feel as fatigued.

We named this supplement TrueMind – because it helps you get and stay in the right frame of mind.

Perhaps the best way I can explain the effects of TrueMind is it gives you this calming energy.

Those words may sound at odds with each other – how can something that calms you, also give you energy. But that’s what I’ve experienced – and the ingredient research supports this too.

When I take TrueMind, which is usually between 10 and 11 in the morning, after about 30 to 60 minutes, I start to feel more calm, relaxed and focused.  This helps me think clearer, and not let distractions cause me to lose focus or attention for too long.  As a result, I can get more accomplished at work.

Better yet, for me this feeling lasts through the end of the workday – that’s the sustaining of mental energy part of TrueMind.

As you may have experienced yourself, often the mid to late afternoon is when mental fatigue starts to set in (I notice the coffee machine in the office gets popular at this time), but with TrueMind, I don’t feel fatigued or in need of a caffeine hit.

I’m able to keep going, which I love because I don’t like to use caffeine in the afternoon, or evening because it messes with my ability to get a good night’s sleep.

Here’s a quick rundown of what’s in TrueMind.

The Fascinating Effects of Thai Ginger

The first key ingredient is an extract from a plant I was not even familiar with till about 2 years ago. The Latin name is Alpinia galanga, though it’s more commonly known as Thai Ginger.

It’s in the same plant family as ginger and turmeric (and also used in cooking in Asia and India) and offers unique properties for supporting focus, attention, alertness and promoting natural energy – which have been captured in an extract called enXtra.
enXtra is a fascinating supplement ingredient and I’ll give you more details in my next letter.  Research shows taking 300mg of enXtra has same day effects that can start in 30 minutes and last up to 5 hours.

Importantly, the energy support comes without any negative impact on heart rate, blood pressure or sleep.

The next ingredient in TrueMind is a natural form of the GABA neurotransmitter called PharmaGABA.

GABA is known as the “calming neurotransmitter” because it helps your brain relax during stressful situations so you can better focus & concentrate.

In case you don’t know, a neurotransmitter is a chemical messenger that carries messages from one nerve or brain cell to another.

PharmaGABA works by promoting relaxing “alpha waves” in your brain while at the same time decreasing the anxiety causing “beta waves.”  This can help improve focus and concentration.

Typically, you can start feeling its effects within an hour.

Capturing Properties of Rhodiola Sustainably

The third ingredient in TrueMind is a fermented version of salidroside, which is the key bioactive compound from the Rhodiola plant.

You may be aware that Rhodiola is taken as a supplement for its ability to help the body cope with stress, support better moods and promote increased natural energy.

Like ashwagandha, rhodiola is considered an adaptogen that helps bring the body back into balance.

Where ashwagandha has more of a calming effect, rhodiola has more of an energizing effect, making it better suited for daytime use.

Unfortunately, its popularity has led to Rhodiola being placed on a list of endangered species – which is a big reason why we haven’t used it in a supplement at NatureCity.

The good news is the key bioactive compound in Rhodiola, called salidroside, is now available through a fermentation process which bypasses the need to harvest the Rhodiola plant.

The LandKind Pure Salidroside in TrueMind is 98% pure and sustainable with no residual solvents or unwanted compounds.

Salidroside is the best studied component of Rhodiola and can help promote increased energy levels and help sustain performance – which is why it’s popular with some athletes.

In addition, salidroside can support the body’s ability to resist the effects of everyday stressors and provide mood support.

B Vitamins Provide Additional Support

The last 3 ingredients in TrueMind are active forms of vitamin B12, folate and vitamin B6.

These B vitamins are included because they help promote cellular energy production, and importantly, for cognitive function, they help support healthy homocysteine levels.

Homocysteine is a byproduct of protein being metabolized in the body.  When you have too much homocysteine in the blood, it can damage blood vessels and hurt blood flow.

This can affect heart and brain function, and other parts of the body too.

The B vitamins In TrueMind help convert homocysteine into amino acids the body needs.

So that’s a quick summary of the TrueMind formula – as you can tell I’m a huge fan for how it helps me during the day.

I encourage you to experience it yourself and let us know how it helps you.

Yours for Good Health,

Carl Pradelli
