Approximately 90% of the CoQ10 your body uses is the active form, which is called ubiquinol. The “oxidized” form of CoQ10 is ubiquinone (it’s the type found in most supplements).
Your body must convert ubiquinone to get the ubiquinol it needs, but this involves a multistep conversion process. After age 30, this conversion process becomes less efficient, and continues to become more challenging as we age.
TrueCoQ10 contains the active CoQ10 as ubiquinol so no conversion is needed – your body can put it right to work. It’s made with the premier source of ubiquinol, Kaneka QH®, which is made using an all-natural yeast fermentation process. The vast majority of the ubiquinol research conducted to date has involved Kaneka-QH®.
Outside the body, ubiquinol is relatively unstable and can easily oxidize into ubiquinone. This challenge is the main reason why ubiquinol wasn’t available for use in supplements until the Kaneka QH® innovation.
To ensure the Kaneka-QH® ubiquinol is still in the active form when you swallow the soft gel, TrueCoQ10 is made with a special stabilization technology to protect it from oxidizing. It works by using another powerful antioxidant, alpha lipoic acid, and two fatty acids that support its protective action.
When CoQ10, either as ubiquinol or ubiquinone, sits in a liquid solution it tends to crystallize into microscopic solid molecules, which makes it harder for our bodies to absorb and use. In general, to bring your CoQ10 levels to an optimal range, the maker of Kaneka QH® recommends you take 200mg of ubiquinol daily for the first two weeks and thereafter 50mg to 100mg daily is typically a good maintenance dose.
If you feel higher amounts help you more, you can continue with an increased dosage. We offer TrueCoQ10 in both 50mg and 100mg serving sizes (1 soft gel is a serving).
You can take TrueCoQ10 any time of the day. When possible, take it together with a meal to help improve absorption.

How and When To Use
Each serving of TrueCoQ10 100mg consists of 1 soft gel with 100mg of ubiquinol. It’s recommended you take 1 to 2 servings daily or use as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Take the soft gel with water.
