You may be aware of the value of probiotics for gut health and maintaining a healthy microbiome environment in the intestines. These oral probiotics were discovered by Professor John Tagg, a microbiologist at the University of Otago in New Zealand. Professor Tagg was curious why certain people aren’t as susceptible to oral health problems – such as cavities, bleeding gums, upper respiratory problems – as most of the population.
He discovered the answer: about 10% of humans can naturally produce protective Streptococcus salivarius organisms in their mouth. To help the other 90% of us, Professor Tagg developed two of these strains, named BLIS® K12 and BLIS® M18, for use as oral probiotics.

A research breakthrough came when Dr. Tagg and his team isolated a unique strain of S. salivarius(K12) from a healthy child who, over a 6-year period, exhibited remarkable throat health.

The BLIS® K12 and BLIS® M18 probiotics in TrueOC are dairy-free as well as Kosher, Halal, gluten free, vegan, and non-GMO.
TrueOC is made in New Jersey at an FDA and NSF certified facility for Good Manufacturing Practices.(GMPs) in a section of their facility dedicated to probiotic products (designed to ensure careful handling so probiotic cells remain alive). The lozenges are individually sealed in blister packaging to protect the probiotics from elements that can destroy them.
A cool dry place is best. Storing in a refrigerator brings extra moisture into the equation, so we’d avoid that for storage.
Unless it’s an herbal mouthwash, avoid taking TrueOC until at least 3 hours after using mouthwash, which tend to kill good bacteria as well as bad bacteria. Many TrueOC users find they can eliminate mouthwash usage altogether as the BLIS® M18 oral probiotic helps address bad breath at its source.

How and When To Use
Each serving of TrueOC consists of 1 lozenge. Place lozenge in mouth and allow to dissolve completely by swirling around mouth before swallowing.
Take at least 1 lozenge daily. For additional oral care support, a second lozenge can be taken, or use as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
Do not take TrueOC within 3 hours of using mouthwash as these products can destroy good bacteria as well as bad bacteria (herbal mouthwashes should not be a problem).
